Finding a game to play with another person who has less (or more) expertise of playing can be a challenge. We all have a different level of experience, ability and connection to video games. There have even been stories of teenagers discovering the ghost laps of deceased parents and being able to race them as if they were still alive. However the game provides this, it does so to give you the feel of playing against someone at the same time, although they actually played some time (maybe seconds, maybe hours or maybe years) ago. Perhaps it's in Horizon Chase Turbo where you see the ghosted cars of your Nintendo Switch friends who have raced the circuit you are on Or, perhaps you see the failed attempts of people you don't know in a temple in Phantom Abyss. Perhaps it's in Forza where you race against representations of real-world opponents. In these asynchronous multiplayer games, you usually see the other player as a ghost representation of how they played the level or circuit. Perhaps your opponent is in a different time zone, you are playing years after the person you are competing against, or perhaps you have a job or family commitments that the only game time is when the person you are playing against is in bed. Whether they are sat next to you on the couch or miles away over the internet, it's instant intense competition.Īsynchronous multiplayer games, create this sense of simultaneous competition when you can't play at the same time. The end of the level and the one from the original level are at the same place, but this area is clear from the water, replaced with enemies to kill.Multiplayer games are fun because you go head to head against another person. The player(s) enter(s) the last section through the door which is supposed to lead to the imprisoned Teensie king from the original level. The second section is the secret area in which the Teensie queen is located in the normal level, but slightly modified : the wooden platforms are replaced by spiky platforms, but they behave the same as the aforementioned wooden platforms (they appear when a player is close to them) and the room has an exit located where the cage was. This section ends with a door which resembles to the one protecting the secret zone in which the Teensie queen is located in the original level. Three times in the level, the player(s) will get stuck and must kill the enemies, avoiding Dark Rayman, in order to proceed. The first section is the beginning of the original level, slightly modified. The level is divided into three sections : The player must kill all the enemies and avoid Dark Rayman at the same time. Meanwhile, Dark Rayman is trying to catch the player (or the player leading the group if played with more than one player) by imitating their movements. Most of the time, a giant stone block or a vine obstructs the player's way, who must clear the area from the enemies to remove those obstacles. The gameplay of the level has, along with Infiltration Station - invaded, a unique gameplay in which the character(s) are stuck in a section of the level, and must clear the area from all the enemies incoming (enemies from Toad Story) in order to proceed to the next section. Unlike the other levels, the levels invaded by Dark Rayman do not require the player to complete the original levels. The level is part of the six ones invaded by Dark Rayman, and is unlocked once the five Dark Teensies are defeated. This level is invaded by enemies from Toad Story, including toads, parachute toads, stilt-toads and Ogers, and Dark Rayman. The fifth Skull Coin is near the second secret area. The fourth Skull Coin is under a long tree trunk, where it can be reached by using two vines. More butterflies and Lividstones will appear in this part. Later on, the gang of heroes reach the part of the forest where the weather clears up. The third Skull Coin is in between two platforms the team must be quick to get it then climb back up. The second Skull Coin is located under a tree trunk that uses a platform to crush the team. After that, the heroes will move on, battling Lividstones and touching more butterflies to advance.

The first secret area is near the coin, as the wall run must be used to reach it. The first Skull Coin can be found by using a vine and performing a walljump on a hanging tree trunk.

At the beginning, Rayman and the team come across butterflies that upon contact will cause tree trunk-like structures to move.
